EDUCATORS

The Twelve Realms, set during the 5th century and spanning from West Africa, the Roman Empire to the Far East, incorporates content well-aligned with thematic and cross-curriculum opportunities in History, Science, Geography, and the Social Sciences. The Educator’s Resource Guide, designed for both classroom and virtual use, provides online access to webinars, historical links, and other educational resources.

The Educator’s Resource Guide emphasizes skills-specific versus grade-specific goals. With daily lesson plans preceded by applicable Common Core State Standards (CCSS), each lesson provides distinct signposts to ensure instructors are given well-defined learning objectives, goals, and metrics. The comprehensive curriculum, geared toward ELA mastery and college readiness, differs from the vast majority of teacher’s guides who do not define how the standards should be taught or which materials should be used to support students.

COMMON CORE STATE STANDARDS THROUGH THE ONLC GUIDE

While commitment is rarely an obstacle found in teachers’ ability to provide effective and comprehensive lessons—time and the preparation required often is. The ONLC Resource Guide is the culmination of collaboration, research, and educator feedback, saving weeks to years of preparation, experience and training to develop.
